With 5G, subscribers will receive higher speeds to stream their favorite shows and movies. 5G technology also supports the use of more connected devices to make remote learning, working at home and video chatting possible for remote locations. 5G is more reliable, providing low latency for quick responsiveness during data demanding activities.

Fixed wireless is an evolution in cellular technology that utilizes excess spectrum on cellular  networks to deliver high speed internet to your home or office. Similar to how a cell phone works, a signal is sent from a network tower to the fixed wireless receiver installed at your home or office. The receiver then provides a high-speed wi-fi connection. By eliminating the need for the “last mile” of fiber, fixed wireless makes high-speed internet a true cost-effective reality in rural areas.

Our engineers run fiber optic cables to all our network sites which connects each network site to our core switch and then to the broader network connecting each user with fiber-like high-speed internet.

In 2020, the state of Vermont granted Wireless Partners funding to build and deploy 5 cellular sites through the CARES Act providing fixed wireless and cellular coverage for northern Vermont. We delivered on time and on budget for 1/5th the cost per household versus fiber.

More recently, Trailrunner Broadband, which utilized the Wireless Partners network, elected to participate in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program to provide a government funded benefit to assist qualifying low-income households get and stay connected.

Network needs vary from community to community, but most projects can be completed within 6 to 9 months from the beginning planning stages through deployment of equipment and installation to homes.

Trailrunner’s marketing and sales team begin all community outreach by promoting it’s broadband service as soon as the network is committed.
